La Roseraie

We have been sending people to La Roseraie for over 30 years and are great fans of this wonderful place.  Set in a stunning mountain location only one hour from Marrakech, La Roseraie is a mountain retreat hotel.  The village of Ouirgane is nestled in a very beautiful valley surrounded by forested hills.

This family-owned hotel, which was built in 1970, is lovingly managed a by father and son team.  The rooms, which are scattered around the gardens, are very comfortable. Some have fireplaces, all have access to terraces and gardens.  The beautiful gardens are probably the most loved feature of the hotel and are ideal for relaxing with a book or just lying in the shade of a tree by the pool.  The restaurant serves good simple Moroccan and international food and there is also a large Moroccan dining room, decorated in true classical Moroccan style, with lovely fireplaces, looking out over well cared for rose gardens.

La Roseraie is the only Atlas mountain hotel to offer a full onsite spa, complete with heated indoor swimming pool which is equipped with power jets for hydro massage, a large Jacuzzi, traditional hammam with private scrubbing tables, sauna, gym and rest area to enjoy a mint tea whilst lounging in comfortable chairs after a steamy hammam and scrub.

Horse riding is available at La Roseraie from the riding centre in the grounds.  Walking or riding through the surrounding hills is a pleasure worth indulging in.  Donkey rides can also be reserved at the reception and mountain guides are available if you wish.  

La Roseraie is the ultimate in Moroccan mountain retreats.  Reliably good and run by people with a true passion for nature which can be felt in the warm welcome received on arrival.  Go there.. you will want to stay there!
