UK calls for boosting economic cooperation between the Maghreb and Europe

“Enormous opportunities exist for reinforcing economic relations with North Africa”

The British government called, on Wednesday, for boosting economic cooperation between European and Maghreb countries.

“Enormous opportunities exist for reinforcing economic relations with North Africa,” British Foreign Secretary, William Hague, stated before the House of Commons (lower house of the British Parliament) on the situation in the Middle-East.

Hague stressed the importance of implementing the European Neighborhood Policy in order to enhance access of North African agricultural products to European markets.

The British official, who has recently toured the countries of the region, including Morocco, called for further reforms in this part of the Arab world.

During this tour, Hague discussed issues relating to political reform, and reiterated the determination of the United Kingdom to support development projects in these countries through the Arab Partnership Initiative, which was launched earlier this year by the British Government.

Short Testimonial

Quite simply a truly well organised trip from start to end.

Morocco deserves another trip and we will certainly book through you again.
