ATOL & ABTOT Protection

Lawrence of Morocco Limited Holiday packages are covered by either ATOL or ABTOT protection as appropriate - please see below for details of each type of cover.

ATOL PROTECTION OF HOLIDAY PACKAGES WITH FLIGHTS (Membership no: 10388)

ATOL protected

ATOL protects you from losing your money or being stranded abroad. It does this by carrying out checks on the tour operators and travel organisers it licenses, and requiring them to take part in a financial guarantee scheme managed by the Air Travel Trust (ATT) which provides the funds to protect customers should a firm fail.  In some cases a licence holder will also provide a bond, which is lodged with the ATT and provides additional funds.

If a tour operator goes out of business, the CAA will ensure you do not lose the money you paid over, or if you're abroad, we'll arrange for you to finish your holiday and fly home.

Many of the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on this website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services listed on this website. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not  receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected. Please see our booking conditions for information, or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to: www.atol.org.uk/ ATOLCertificate

Click here to check our ATOL licence on the CAA website.

Better than expected and more

Dear Chris,

We're back from our wonderful trip to Morocco.  We just want to let you know everything went better than expected and more.  You and your team did a perfect job setting the right itinerary and booking us into fabulous accommodations.

No guidebook or other tour operator could have come close to the service and guidance you ...

We know Morocco intimately

Max Lawrence - MD Lawrence of Morocco

When travelling around Morocco it is not (contrary to common belief) necessary for women to ‘cover up’ out of respect for local modesty traditions. Morocco is a very mixed society with Moroccans who dress as westerners and more traditional families dressing in a more traditional way.

The only areas of the country where it is advisable for women to cover up their legs and shoulders would be in some parts of the High Atlas Mountains (very remote areas) where the locals are rarely visited by foreigners. It is highly unlikely that you will be visiting these areas on any holiday arranged by Lawrence of Morocco.
