Northern Morocco

Bordered by the craggy peaks of the Rif Mountains and the wild reaches of the Mediterranean, northern Morocco’s untamed and beautiful coastline draws you into a wealth of natural attractions and exotic places, steeped in history, mythology and ancient traditions.

A holiday in Northern Morocco can be an intense but very rewarding experience. The chief points of entry, Tangier and Tetouan, have a deservedly troublesome reputation. Be warned that the hustlers and local guides can not wait to prey on unsuspecting tourists and you may find yourself hassled at every turn. Once you have negotiated your way through this hurdle, however, you will quickly get used to the ways and means of dealing with any unwanted attention and can get on with enjoying the many and diverse attractions on offer.

Travel along winding roads through the Rif Mountains, step into a bygone era in a boutique hotel in Tangier, stroll along the swathes of beach admiring the wild atlantic coastline. Visit the imperial cities of Meknes and Rabat, a luxury hotel in the ancient medina of Fes, marvel at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the bustling busy streets of Casablance and delight in the blue and whitewashed houses of relaxing Chefchaouen.

Bab Ourika, Atlas mountians, Morocco holidays

Very informative staff and professional pre-holiday experience.

Dear Max,

Sadly back to reality this morning.

Great feedback all round – pick up and briefing from Souad was fine, Maison Arabe was simply excellent (probably the best all round hotel we have stayed in – great rooms; ambience; facilities, food and staff).

One thing to note – we thought the meal/experience at Dar Moha was not good value …

The Selman certainly doesn’t do anything by halves, and as for Morocco, more of the same please.
