134-room/8-bungalow kasbah-style hotel  with spa, set amongst the dunes and palmeraie

ABOUT: Situated in Erfoud (also spelt Arfoud), the Xaluca Maadid lives up to the city's nickname of "the door to the desert" by its situation on the edge of the dunes. The kasbah hotel is built using the traditional adobe building bricks.

Royal suites are luxury suites having terraces overlooking the dunes, jacuzzi in the bathroom, a more spacious living room, and a hi-fi system.
The bungalows offer greater privacy, having their own entrance; the 120m2 include 3 suites each with bathroom and jacuzzi, a kitchen (with fridge), living room with plasma television; private outdoor areas comprise a terrace and courtyard. Wi-Fi connection is available.

FACILITIES: Two large restaurants cater for both Moroccan and international tastes, and there is also a buffet served beside the swimming pool. The pool is outdoors, and there is also an indoor pool. Sports areas include a fitness room, tennis court, ping-pong and mini-golf.

The large spa includes a hammam, 10 massage rooms, Vichy showers, sauna, hairdressing salon and lounge.

The hotel has a large number of quad bikes/all-terrain vehicles for exploring the dunes and local area.  Guided 4-wheel-drive excursions are also available as are camel treks.

Note that the online map offers both a satellite view (click satellite in the top right) and, for some locations, a street level view (Drag the person in the top left onto the map). These let you explore the country; and when you wish to explore in person, or if you have any questions about the places you see, give our staff a call, or request a quote. Our staff regularly visit the places and accommodation that we feature.

When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
