Country villa located fifteen minutes from Essaouira.
Sitting tranquilly inside a forest 15 minutes outside Essaouira, Les Jardins had been a luxurious private residence until its recent conversion into a charming boutique villa. Its two stylish suites and one chic bedroom can be booked individually or as a whole. The eco-friendly retreat boasts a pool, spa, restaurant and tangible, indulgent serenity; the main soundtrack here is birdsong, plus the occasional splash or palpable sigh of satisfaction.
The double room has a patio and its own bathroom; also sleeping two is the bigger Minzeh Suite. Families of four are directed towards the Figuier Suite, which has one double bed, two twins and a shared bathroom under a wood-beamed ceiling. The bedroom and both suites feature jacuzzi bathtubs, fireplaces, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi.
The property frames a beautiful, heated pool and spacious courtyard; this is also open to guests of Les Jardins's sister hotel Villa Maroc in Essaouira, who can come for lunch at the poolside bar and use the pool facilities. These include small salons, an on-site hammam for scrubs, massages and beauty treatments – plus special children’s massages – and, of course, the surrounding peaceful gardens. The restaurant serves a creative, daily-changing menu of local Souiri, wider Moroccan and international cuisine, using as much local produce as possible. Cookery classes are available on request.
For a change of scene, take a short stroll down a dirt track to Babel, a Mediterranean-specialist restaurant with its own swimming pool, sun loungers and cocktails. Or take advantage of the hotel's free daily shuttle service into town, leaving at around 10am and returning at 5pm.
The villa can be booked for exclusive rental for 8 people (plus an extra 3 child beds), with breakfast, housekeeping and private pool included; half-board and full-board catering is also available.
The Lawrence of Morocco map displays the locations of the destinations and accommodation that we have selected and visited; for each item, hovering over or clicking the marker will display a short summary and photo of that place or hotel, and hotel pricing. Follow the links in the info box to the full page listing which has much more information.
Note that the online map offers both a satellite view (click satellite in the top right) and, for some locations, a street level view (Drag the person in the top left onto the map). These let you explore the country; and when you wish to explore in person, or if you have any questions about the places you see, give our staff a call, or request a quote. Our staff regularly visit the places and accommodation that we feature.
When you book a holiday with us we will provide full driving instructions for reaching your accommodation, where necessary; these can be used by yourself, or you could enjoy the luxury of a driver. Alternatively we will arrange private (car rather than coach) transfers for you; helicopter transfers are also possible for some destinations.
