Morocco is a safe place to travel, even as a woman alone. Common sense is all you need really to get by without problems. Below is a collection of useful information to help you get off on the right foot. We are always happy to discuss these matters in more detail with you by telephone or email. We have many years of experience and have lived in the country for over a decade and will be able to help you with any questions you may have.
Morocco has for a very long time been a popular destination for many gay people. The country is very gay-friendly and is in no way anti-gay.
There are from time to time arrests made of people (generally men) which are called ‘gay offences’, but these are generally due to some form of misbehaviour whilst in the country. Men found to be with under-aged boys in Morocco may be arrested in the same way they would be here, but the label attached to this can be ‘gay offences’.
Fab holiday during Ramadan
Anyway, a fab holiday in Morocco and nothing to really complain about at all. The hotels were just perfect for us, really liked your choices which all felt unique and not some corporate anywhere-in-the-world type hotel.
We visited in Ramandan but I have to say that didn’t cause any issues at all.
We will certainly recommend to friends …
